How Much Time Will My Multi Engine Seaplane [MES] Rating Take? PDF Print E-mail

That depends. 

  • Average times to complete the rating is about 6 - 9  hours flying time and 2 hours of ground
    • This includes the check ride
  • You should plan on having at least 4 days available to complete the rating
 
How Much Does it Cost for an MES Rating? PDF Print E-mail
The cost for ground school is $40 per hour and $495 per hour in the aircraft.
 
Is the Examiner's Fee Included in the Hourly Price? PDF Print E-mail
No.  You must pay the examiner separately.  The cost ranges from $250 to $450 depending on the type of Check ride.
 
Where Will My Check Ride Be? PDF Print E-mail
If your rating is done in Florida it will likely be done at Jack Brown's Seaplane Base.  If the Bee is located in a different part of the country it will be done there.
