The multi engine seaplane rating is available at both the Commercial and ATP level.

The Commercial rating will require a minimum of 2 hours ground instruction and 3 hours flying.

The ATP rating can be held as a stand alone rating or can be an add on to an existing ATP-Land.

One of the advantages to doing your initial ATP with us is upon completion you will receive your ATP Land and Sea the added benefit is it can all be done on one check ride.

The instructors teaching you are uniquely qualified to provide you a wealth of information.

All of our instructors work hard to provide you with the best and highest quality learning experience.

Our instructors are typically high time single engine seaplane pilots with plenty of multi engine experience.

The demands instructing in the Bee are high so most flights are kept under two hours.

Consistently students take between 4 and 9 hours depending on their currency and proficiency. We do not offer a package price because of the amount of variance between students.

Examiners fee: The DPE (Designated Pilot Examiner) Fee is between $300 and $450 depending on the rating.

We offer two types of ratings: Commercial and ATP.

We can also do initial ATP ratings but the student should expect to fly significantly more than the 4 to 9 hours. The ATP rating requires the addition of instrument procedures to the syllabus.

The student must first complete the ASES rating (Aircraft Single Engine Sea) before starting the AMES (Aircraft Multi Engine Sea). This is not a requirement enforced by the FAA but is our school requirement. It's best for you to have a working knowledge of seaplanes before adding the complexity of a Multi.

The rating is available to anyone with a valid FAA license and Medical.

If the rating desired is AMES - ATP then you must meet the minimum requirements for ATP.

A deposit of $300 is required to schedule your training. This deposit will be applied directly to the final bill at the conclusion of your training course. If you are a "no-show" on the date of your training the deposit will be retained by ESP Aviation and will not be applied towards your final invoice. If there is a need to reschedule we will accommodate you.

With greater than one week (7 days) notice we will reschedule you to another date at no additional cost and your entire deposit will be applied to your final invoice.

If less than one week notice is given then a rescheduling fee of $100 will be incurred and added to your final invoice at the conclusion of your training course. If we are unable to reschedule your training within a 3 month period then $200 will be returned to your credit card.
